This tour showcases the University of Florida / Institute of Food and Agricultural Science’s (UF/IFAS) Mid-Florida Research and Education Center (MREC) greenhouses located in Apopka, Florida. Throughout the tour, students and educators can travel between three different greenhouses to learn about some of the research happening at the center, different staff members who conduct the research, what their jobs entail on a day-to day basis, and why the research and work they do is important.
